Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
Thanks all! Yes it would have been nice if he'd come out earlier last night to say hello, but they really do need time to adjust as you say Ria. I think that's the case. First day it's an exciting playground, then they have to go to sleep and realise they're staying there and build a nest somewhere. Then adjusting to getting their life in order! Very noticeable he came out as soon as the lights went off lol! The wheel is incredibly noisy on the bars. Not to the point it actually keeps us awake (you can hear it upstairs) but it can't be very nice for Pip who is probably wondering what's going on. I'll turn the hamcam towards Pip's cage tonight - can't see both cages at once on it.

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
That's exactly what's happening with Scottie just now. He was up at 7pm wheeling downstairs in the tank but now he sits in the end bit of the tube watching and waiting. Soon as the light's off, he's in his wheel.
The other hamsters get miffed when i'm away at work overnight but Scottie would have me working overtime.

Aww he's a little cutie. I don't think he's a cream. He looks to have some ticking on his back. I'm sure he will settle in well with you.

Thank you Souffle! Interesting! If he's not a cream, what is he?!

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
Raffy is a lovely new addition and will happily settle into his new home with you.
He really gave everything a thorough examination. That must have made you feel good after taking so much trouble with the cage set up.
Waiting to hear what he could be if not cream banded. Interested to know what the ticking indicates.

I was just looking up colours and is it the case that creams are always solid coloured and not banded Souffle? If so could he be a yellow banded?
Actually black eyed creams usually have dark ears don't they? Rather than flesh coloured ears. Which does suggest he isn't a cream! OH thought he was biscuit coloured.
Maybe he's a ghost yellow. Cream with yellow underneath and ticking. Mentioned on here
Yellow
This says a combination of cream and rust can give a more beige colour and pale ears. Waiting to see what Souffle says

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
He’s adorable Serendipity, congratulations! His cage looks fabulous and it sounds like he’ll settle pretty quickly. As you say he does look like a bit of an acrobat, great photos they really made me smile.

Thank you Stanza . He is awol at the moment. Doesn’t even come out with a bit of cage rattling at feeding time but it’s early days.
Colourwise I am guessing Raffy is a cream "mix" of some kind He isn't a pedigree for sure!
