Question Coat patterning and age of hamster? How to determine and find out?

Hi all!

So I was wondering what kind of patterning my hamster is, he seems to be a mouse grey and white but I really can't tell what pattern he is!

I was looking on this website and I can't find really anything to resemble him besides a female patterning but I know for sure he definitely is not a female or tortoiseshell (since tortoiseshells have different various colouring). But could he also be a dominant spot? I'm not sure! All I know is he has a cute pink nose and pink ears as well as red eyes.

I was looking here: Syrian Hamster Colors and Coats - Phoenix Ashes Hamstery

I also don't know how old he is, I guess it slipped my mind to ask from the pet shop if they knew so I think now I will never know unless there is a way to find out by various appearances, behaviours etc.

Don't worry, the depth of his substrate isn't all throughout that shallow, he has 20cm substrate to burrow in!

He still has a young face so usually they are homed out around 7-12 weeks old.

Colourwise, it is hard to tell on different monitors but seems more of a brownish than grey? It may be my laptop but I'd say perhaps Dove..although when they are young it can be hard to distinguish between dove and mink, both beautiful though!

Pattern wise i'd say dom spot as it is more "spotty" than to be a broken banded

Hamsters are usually around 8 weeks old when they are for sale in pet shops.

I don't know anything about patterns. All i know is that he is a lovely looking boy.

Don't know about patterns either, but I'd like to learn. Such a pretty boy. (:

He's either Mink or Dove dominant spot I would say. Young minks are quite greyish and turn a warmer orangy brown as they mature
