Re: Rodney
I wonder what he's thinking.
That photo was taken after he had been free roaming for well over an hour.

Great pictures of Rodney and how fantastic all your hamsters wake at different times ready to feed and play. It’s like a well organised rota, with them all waiting their turn. My daughter and I love reading about all the hamsters on this forum. Do you find the clock change has thrown the routine out a bit. Hammy doesn’t seem to be showing his head before 11pm now.

It doesn't throw the hamsters routine because they can't tell the time and get up when they're ready.
It throws our routine a bit because to us they get up later. I've always seen the clock changes as a nuisance anyway.

Re: Rodney
Oh dear. When hamsters start to show their age they age so quickly. It's awful.
Poor Rodney looks like an old man! He got up just now when he smelt his new, favourite nibble stick to eat some and then went back in his house for another sleep.
Once he's had a good wash he looks a bit more presentable.
He'll be 2 begin of July which isn't that long.

Re: Rodney
I couldn't cope with the pink shelves in the spare cage and repainted them yellow so spent time fiddling about tonight.
Rodney has always enjoyed to be right in the middle of me setting up a cage or cleaning one out after a hamster had moved out.
He always tries to climb into it and once stole an ex lodger's hoard!

Re: Rodney
Rodney is first one up and out to play tonight. That hasn't happened in a while.

Re: Rodney
2 year old Rodney is looking a bit wobbly tonight but he usually picks up once fully awake.
I haven't told him yet that he's 2 roundabout now (he's a rescue ham) but will tell him when i've baked him a cake.
I wonder if he would benefit from Metacam or not. I think the only way to find out is to try him on it.

Re: Rodney
Happy 2nd Birthday Rodney!
I baked you a cake and shared it out and here's a big slice for You my little friend.
And then Rodney sniffed out his cake and ate it!
