Oh yes. Rodney was this odd looking little creature when i rescued him with a face like a mouse and huge ears. He has a long and lean body. He looked goofy but is in fact the most intelligent of all the Syrians here.
Here's a photo when he was little.20200919_093137.jpg

Aww! He looks like he had not grown into his ears. How adorable.

I bought new toys for Rodney's playground and gave the cube a wipe with a damp cloths then put it on top of his cage to dry.
I was reading when i heard chirping and there was Rodney on his shelf looking up at the cube and chirping. He only ever chirps when he's complaining about something so i took the cube away and he stopped, came down from his shelf and went back in his house.

Now of course i'm wondering if he objected to the cube being on top of his cage or does he have a problem with the cube toy itself.
It's going in his playground tonight so i'm curious to see his reaction.

Oh wow he was very vocal about having the cube there! I am interested to hear if he likes it in the playground.

The baby photos are so good and his ears just adorable, so sweet. Watching this space to see if he reacts to the cube later

He checked out some of the new stuff but now he's back on his mission trying to get into the kitchen!

He got in there a couple of times by mistake and once they know there's more they'll sit by the door hoping for someone unsuspecting to open it.

He looks like he accepted the cube. Funny how they want to go in the kitchen. Maybe they know treats are in there.

Love the cube, that’s a really good size for a Syrian. Will you leave it in the play area for a day or 2 and then try it back in his home?
