Yes, maybe he appreciates the fresh cage because the lingering smell of his poops bothered him. I spot clean daily but some had dropped to the bottom of the cage.

The only adjustment i've made is to remove the sputnik top half so now he has a hammock. It opened that area up more to enable me to keep a close eye on the bedding and shelf surfaces.

He matured into a beautiful hamster. He was ever so goofy looking when he was little hence the name after the TV comedy character.
