No rush. He won't be back till tomorrow evening. I had to time everything because i waste so much time fiddling about. I also have to allow for me changing my mind several times just to go back to the original.

I understand. It can be difficult making decisions at times.

Re: Rodney
Rodney's bungalow is nearing completion. Just the bottles and food to add then administer the last anti parasite treatment and add the man himself and Hope For The Best!
I used more washables and disposables in case he needs further treatment or takes a turn for the worse.

Re: Rodney
Thorough sniffing inspection and no tantrums so far. The set up is almost identical to the Alaska, just lower.
He's busy rearranging his gooddies now and pouching bedding and food. 20220910_171801.jpg

Re: Rodney
And then he fell off his roof because he's dottery and his pouches were so full that he overbalanced! So much for creating a safer environment. I tried.

Re: Rodney
Thank you both.
I can't remember the make of the wheel but can check on Monday. A small independent petshop sells them.

Re: Rodney
Rodney appears to be fine with the new cage. He came out briefly last night and run on the playground saucer but not for long. I think he's quite tired from the last treatment and sleeping a lot. He was in his house this morning and i didn' t want to disturb him by checking on him so i left his porridge by his door. He had used the toilet so he's alive and that's always a bonus with an eldery hamster.
