Such a cute photo of Rodney eating his eggs.

You made me smile saying he always looks rough after a sleep then has a wash to spruce himself him up. Think I may know another hamster like that

Hope he’s still feeling brighter today.

I have started work on Rodney's OAP bungalow.
I think it is the right decision to move him into a HH because he can be quite dotty and disorientated on waking. I'll stick to the Alaska set up as closely as possible but will try and eliminate fall risks without taking away shelves and tunnel runs.
Need to replace wicker tunnels with disposables like cardboard in case i need to replace them again or use the plastic rat tunnel.
Have been feeding my OH with twiglets and cheesy things from tubes and have an empty porridge tube as well.
Rodney accepts me cleaning his nest frequently (i think the smell of his poops bothers him) so he may not get as stressed as last time. His poops don't smell as bad now but they aren't right.

I even ate half a tube of those cheesy things myself because i don't like wasting food and wanted the tube. I felt guilty about feeding him so much junk (he loves junk) but had to draw a line at the twiglets. It's like eating salted cardboard.

He misses Gertie because she was such a lovely dwarfie but he also misses the Pringles tubes i used to buy.and Gertie used as a toilet.

I can understand that. Twiglets suit their name.
