I know guinea pigs may be different but I noticed metcam gave elderly guinea pigs a new lease of life too. I imagine animals get sore bones due to old age and the pain relief enables them to enjoy life again.

Rory tonight. Some days he looks his age and today is one of those days. He just had a little run around while i cleaned his house and now he's gone back to bed. I'll get him a bit of Ella's pea purrč. He may enjoy that.20220804_221850.jpg

He pulled the whole dish into his house. He's always eaten inside his house and then chucks leftovers or plates in his toilet that's also his bin. No doubt, that's where i'll find the pea purrč dish tonight. Didn't want to disturb him this morning to remove the plate.

Something has gone wrong with Rory. He behaved very oddly and had some kind of spasm. Could have been a seizure, i really don't know. I'm not going to rush him to the vet because he is resting now and there's nothing they could do. If he needs help, i'll know.

Aside from the spasm, Rory was disorientated and his mobility was temporarily affected. He came out of his corner now moving normally, got some food and went into his house.

I'm now thinking he had a TIA, a mini stroke. Hopefully it won't happen again and he'll be with us for quite some time yet.

Oh I am sorry to hear this. My bunny had these quite often and was fine afterwards. I hope Rory is okay now.

Rory hates green beans and always has. He eats everything else but won't touch a green bean.

Tonight it was kale amongst other things. A little bit of leaf and a tiny bit of stalk.

Ok, the stalk looked like a bean and he promptly left it!
