Re: Our Rory
Oh no, the fun part for Rory is to jump down the stairs. The hamster playground and freeroaming areas are upstairs. Took me ages to figure out what he was trying to do. If you read back in this thread you'll understand what i mean.
He hadn't asked to jump down the stairs for ages but last night he must have had some kind of flashback of something he used to enjoy in his younger days.
Or maybe he made a bucket list of things to do before i die.
He climbed up the back of the radiator and balanced along the top when he was a baby but i hope that he has forgotten about that.

Re: Our Rory
Rory got up at 6.30 for his first foraging round and his pouches are already stuffed with his fresh food and half a walnut. Not much room left for nibbles.
The hamster mix is part of his second foraging round in a few hours time. He has a long established, set routine.

Yes, it is nice to be able to stroke a hamster. Not sure about cuddles with our lot though. Jack's the closest to a cuddly hamster.

Re: Our Rory
Perhaps I should have said strokes and interaction And retrieving them from places they shouldn't be.

Re: Our Rory
Rory looked rough tonight so i'm wondering if i should start him on metacam.
There's nothing specifically wrong with him that requires a vet visit and he still asks for out of cage time but he's an old man and i want him to be as comfortable as possible.
There are no obvious signs of discomfort either but it is so hard to tell with hamsters.

Re: Our Rory
Aw how old is he? Metacam may bring him some comfort. I don't know how you can get to do this as my vet is very iffy about prescribing it without seeing them.
