Do you have a spare room where you keep your menagerie and supplies?

There are threads called "Edwina" and "Ozzy the lucky dip hamster". They are both dwarfs.
I've rearranged the lounge to accommodate two hamsters, Henry and Gordon and the other three live in a room where we stow away our motorcycle gear and the odd guest.
Three of them like to free roam in this room. Old boy Henry rests sitting inside a helmet, Edwina who has a shoe fetish climbs inside my short boots and even keeps a hoard in there and Rory uses spare bike seats lying on the floor as a climbing frame.

Re: Our Rory
Taming little Rory is going well and he's becoming more confident. He spent ages on the futon tonight washing but once he was finished he was on a mission to get down on the floor for a good sniff around.

Re: Our Rory
Just like Henry, Rory likes a high seat.
It was a Syrian night tonight. First Henry free roamed around the room and tried to climb up some shirts hanging off the door handle to dry. He kept jumping about trying to get a hold of the shirts before indulging in his hobby of wallpaper stripping. It was lovely to see him so energetic.
Rory sat on his high seat, came over to the door and asked to come out. He walked sraight onto my hands so i tried for a cuddle but he wasn't having any of it and headed straight for the edge of the futon wanting down to the floor.
He must have smelt Henry because he really was zooming around tonight scenting. Rory also tried to climb up the shirts but being so short he was at a real disadvantage.
I'm impressed with Rory for taming so easily after such a screechy and jumpy start.

Re: Our Rory
Oops! Rory just bit me. Oh well, can't blame him.
The inside of his house started to smell bad because he uses his en suite toilet as a food store and not as a place to pee.
So i lifted the roof off, gave him plenty of time to wake up and tempted him out with some seeds in a mug. Quickly removed the smelly substrate while he sat in the mug eating but he finished the seeds and run back into his house to find his untouched hoard in the toilet in my hand while i was trying to put it back into place. He run to the spot where it should be so i picked him up to put the toilet down.
Of course he turned his head and bit me! Serves me right.
While i got a plaster he moved to the other side of the house so i was able to place the toilet back in the corner.
I stroked him to show that i'm only the cleaner and not a thread and he was fine with that.
I do pick up taming sessions when he's out on my lap or on the futon and he's making good progress with that but inside his cage or house is a different matter and needs more time.
I suppose we all make mistakes when taming our hamsters and they soon let us know when we're going too fast.

Re: Our Rory
Rory is growing so fast! I think he's going to be a big hamster. I just turned the light on for a few seconds to take a sneaky photo while he was busy eating. Didn't put him off. He enjoys his fresh veggies.
