Re: Mocha's thread
I decided to come back and update on Mocha and his life.
I have finally reached something that I love and he seems to enjoy himself to the fullest. He now resides in a glass tank measuring 150x50x60 (approx 7483 sq cm OR 1160 sq inches). Watching him burrow in these depths of bedding is joy. He is now about 1 year and 4 months. Looking forward to seeing him explore his new (and final home) thoroughly.

That's a simply super set-up. I love that it looks so natural. It looks as though there is moss growing out of the bendy bridge; how did you achieve that effect?

Thank you! (:
With a lot of patience, haha. I just picked the moss apart into smaller pieces and used a non-toxic, safe glue in some creases where it wouldn't sit on its own.

Re: Mocha's thread
Mocha is getting up earlier. I adore it, getting to see him much more since he moved into his new habitat. I caught him devouring a willow ball with hidden treats inside and he treated me with a much rare picture opportunity. He is really hard to get good photos of because he blends in so well!

Re: Mocha's thread
I had an hour of sunshine to spend on painting the lid of Mocha's habitat.
Well happy with giving it a more finished look. (thank you to someone on the forum that had painted their mesh white, it inspired me to do the same, ofcourse using safe paint if Mocha were to have a go at it) (:

Re: Mocha's thread
The sound of their little feet will always be one of my favorite sounds in the world.
When I got this glass tank my first concern was immidiately what I would do with his wheel. It is built to hang, not stand, and on glass it is tricky to attach heavy items. Luckily, I was able to find an adhesive that works on wood to glass (I made the guy in the shop laugh saying it needed to hold a hamster wheel and I was concerned it would drop down, but he assured me it would hold 600kg....). Happy to still enjoy his little tapping feet and watching his ears all perked up while running in the shadows.

Re: Mocha's thread
A little Mocha sighting, out and about for an evening stroll.
He's doing very well, sort of slow and timid, doing his own thing.
