Dreamtree, BP, SKB, Lizzy, Drago, and Ruth, thank you all for your lovely compliments towards Prince Lemon. He’s actively blushing and hiding his little face in his even smaller paws, so that I couldn’t see how red he is now. I hope you all had the best Christmas ever and your hammies got a huge pile of presents from Santa Paws.
Lemon recently got his wheel fixed so that it didn’t shake and bump everything while he’s in it. Now he’s the happiest little hammy, it was the best present he could wish for. New photos soon!

Oh my! I'm very late to this thread, but Prince Lemon is totally gorgeous!!!! I've never had a long haired hamster, but he is soooooo fluffy!! He certainly sounds like a cheeky little thing! His little face just melts hearts, and I don't think you could stay mad at him for long!

I just couldn’t not post this today. Right now I’m at the airport, going away for the weekend and I can’t help but think how Prince Lemon was saying goodbye to me. Whereas Marti was chill and sleepy, being clearly indifferent towards the fact she’d be alone for a couple days (clearly she’s too cool to admit that she’ll miss me), but Lemon, my yellow baby was so worried! He was running around the cage, climbing the bars and clearly asking to be taken with us. My heart just broke to leave him there, but it’s only for a couple days.
Lemon grows to be very gentle, and touchy. He doesn’t climb out from his cage if I’m not there to offer him a hand and he just loves snuggling with my plush toys. His coloring makes him look like he’s a baby even though he’s pretty much an adult ham at this point. He got really fluffy, and as soon as I get to good WiFi I’ll upload his new photos, but I just wanted to share how touching his goodbyes were. He looked so sad!

Dreamtree and BP, I’m sorry that the new year has started tough for you both. Snickers, Boris, and Pasha will be missed and never forgotten! I wish you both that the next 11 months will be much happier and that your precious little guys will visit you in your dreams!

Aww, Lemon's goodbye was most definitely quite touching and sweet; he surely doesn't want to part with his loving mum even for the weekend! He is a real sweetheart and I know that seeing him like that must have made it almost impossible to leave, but I'm sure both Marti and Lemon will be so thrilled to see you return home. Hopefully, you had a lovely and wonderful trip.

Thank you for also the sweet comment about Snickers. It truly touched me as I know it will have touched BP, too. This 2018 has begun with an extremely painful start. I have found it incredibly difficult to sleep since Snickers's passing, but I did have a lovely dream of my Snickers last night though. I dreamed that she was wheeking and popcorning with joy and surrounded by so many fluffy friends and tiny little angelic children in need of her special love and cuddles. It was a beautiful, heartwarming dream which made me cry tears of reassurance that she will be alright and is doing what she loved doing most - making all those around her happy. I miss her terribly and still expect to hear her pleasant little sounds or see her sweet, loving face looking out at me, but I know we will be together again one day and that gives me comfort. Thank you for all your well wishes, Burakki; you are a wonderful friend and your always caring ways touch my heart.

Lemon has surely mastered his puppy dog eyes, being the little fluff he is, he always manages to play on my feelings and bend me to his will. My trip was amazing, thank you))
Dreamtree , My heart goes with you in this difficult time, I know how hard it is to lose a pet, and I’m glad that you see such beautiful dreams. I truly believe that our lost ones communicate with us through them, and I know that Snickers wouldn’t want you to suffer, so the first thing she did once on the rainbow, was to visit and comfort you. Maybe she’ll be reborn and will find you once again sometime in the future.

I’ve had quite a lot of Lemon’s photos that needed uploading, and I finally have the time to. His fur grew quite long and he is quite a fluffy little fellow now.

He takes great care of his wonderful coat, so regular grooming is a must.

He really likes cuddling with his plush friends.

Where he wants to be let out from his cage for some playtime, he makes sure to let you know it.

Yesterday he decided to explore our table with photo frames and decided that he quite liked to hide behind the frames. (Ignore the dust, please, we’re sick so don’t have the energy to clean)

Lemon is so, SO stunning and his luxurious coat is absolutely amazing. I love all of his latest pics; he is getting so much fluffier if that is even possible. I love his sweet, heart-melting eyes, too. I totally love this charmer. Although I love all the pics, I have to definitely say that my absolute favorite ones are the fourth one and the seventh one. In the fourth, he looks out through the cage bars with such pleading eyes - it just goes right to my heart and I know that he certainly gets absolutely everything he desires because no one can escape his amazing charm. He just melts all of us into a mushy pile of melted butter, lol.

In the seventh pic, he looks like he is trying his best to be a fearless, intense-looking friendly lion out on the prowl. It's just an absolutely hilarious pic and makes me smile. Thanks for the smiles, Prince Lemon; you most certainly are quite the character.

Are you still planning on entering your two precious hams into a hamster show? I believe that you had mentioned possibly doing so previously. They are both so stunning!

Thanks for your lovely comments about Lemon, he’s very flattered, and Marti now seems more interested in posing for some photos (she’s been kinda lazy lately).
With the shows it’s kinda a funny story. I’ve been supposed to attend one in October and even paid the participation fee, but it fell one the same day we got our puppy (that we had to give away a week later due to mom’s allergy) and it was the same day that construction workers came to set up our new kitchen, so I had to miss the show to help mom deal with all that stuff. Then there was another show in December but it was a couple weeks before my finals, so I had to focus on them. Then there was another show this weekend, but it wasn’t a big one for rodents, it’s just a cat show that decided to feature other animals, so I just about attending it as a visitor, but my mom got sick, so I had to stay to take care of her. Now, the next show is on March 17, and I want to finally do it, at least to get the experience. The only thing that stops me (apart from kinda feeling guilty about dragging my babies somewhere just to get a pretty ribbon) is that Lemon got a little bold spot on his nose from bar chewing, and I have to somehow make him stop doing that so that the fur would grow back by that time. I’m trying to give more playtime, maybe that’ll be the key to stopping that, but I think that I’ll go to the show no matter his nose issues.
It’s just never easy with me *sigh*

Both of your fluffies deserve all the praise in the world.

I'm glad that Lemon has now inspired Marti to pose for some photos, too. I've been missing seeing her loveliness; I suppose that she doesn't want Lemon to steal the show, lol.

I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you to attend or enter the previous shows; that is a shame because it sounds like it would have been quite interesting, fun, and a good experience for you and your hams. Sorry about the puppy, but it was certainly good that you became aware that your mum was allergic to it before her allergies became too serious. I am also sorry that your mum was sick this weekend, too. I hope that she recovers soon; she is very lucky to have such a caring daughter to look after her. I will be hoping that Lemon's bald spot heals, too; regardless, he is such a handsome fellow so the judges will probably just be mesmerized with his charm. March 17th is St. Patrick's Day so hopefully it will be your lucky day and you will be able to have them compete and bring home many lovely ribbons, too. I will be keeping my fingers crossed.
