How to properly hold a Syrian?
How do you properly hold a Syrian when you have small hands?

Re: How to properly hold a Syrian?
I think it depends how you are going about holding them
When I hold my syrian I tend to let her climb onto my hand herself by placing my hand near her palm up and she she climbs on
Then if im carrying her she just stays pretty still which might be because she's a pretty docile ham,
Put if I have to move her I put my hand, mainly fingers around her middle and lift, she normally moves onto my hand when I put my hand round her anyway.
But id say gently around her middle and place her on your hand or let her come to you is how I handle mine

Re: How to properly hold a Syrian?
I sometimes just scoop Marti with both of my hands going under her from both sides, similar to how you'd scoop water from a bowl. Once in my hands, I keep her in one and cover her with the other. Our breeder said to always have your thumb or whole palm above them to stop them if they try to jump.
