Re: Quigley
Quigley just wants to be a fit little man, burning off the excess fat in his wheel

Marti is an incredible carnivore. She likes no veggies as much as something meaty. She also is a sushi lover Of course, I don't give her sushi, but she sometimes gets to chew the chopsticks after they were used, and that's her obsession. She loves sweet peppers, zucchini, and apples. Her favorite apple sort is Cripp's pink (or Pink Lady). She runs across the whole cage the moment she hears me eating them.

Re: Quigley
Burakki lol at the chopsticks. I actually can't be bothered with chopsticks so I always use a knife and fork instead! Quigley doesn't like sweet peppers and I have yet to try him on fresh apple, though he does like it dried. We never have zucchini for some reason, but I've have to buy some for the whole family (which of course includes Quigley!).

Re: Quigley
Quigley is a good weight for his age - but I also think he still has some growing left to do.

Re: Quigley
I am just catching up on Quigley's amazing thread since I haven't had a chance to be on HC for a bit due to family visiting. Quigley is such a silly, silly ham climbing all the way up to your shoulders, AprilPearl. I know that you must enjoy it tremendously though; I love it when Eros climbs onto my shoulders and gives me ticklish whisker kisses. Quigley is such a climber on the monkey bars, too. He sure is sneaky doing it during the night when he doesn't think anyone is watching him. Thank goodness for the video camera with night vision, lol. I am so glad that he enjoyed his spaghetti, spinach, and peanut. The pics and videos of him eating his broccoli are absolutely priceless, too. It is amazing that he lets is so chilled devouring his broccoli floret while being being on his back. He is such a funny character, and I love him so much! He certainly makes me laugh and ooh and awww at his cuteness. He is growing such a stunning full and fluffy skirt, and he looks absolutely amazing as always.
AprilPearl, I am so sorry to hear about the sudden passing of your dear childhood friend. I know that it must have been a shock for you and her family even though she had a pre-existing heart condition. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and her family. Hugs to you, AprilPearl. We at HC are all here for you as always during this very hard time. Take care, remember happy times created with her, and get extra cuddles from your extra snuggly and adorable Quigley.

Re: Quigley
Souffle and SKB I think you're right. I weighed Quigley this morning and he is 135g, so has gained 6g over the last 3 days. Hopefully this means he's back to growing again!
dreamtree hope you had s lovely time visiting your family, and thank you for your lovely kind comment
Quigley has a little wooden house in his playpen which I thought he might enjoy climbing on. Turns out he can also fit through the door and turn all the way around inside! Wasn't expecting that, as it's really more geared towards dwarf hamsters.

Despite his new toy, Quigley is getting bored with the playpen. After a few minutes of exploring, he begins his favourite game: climb up Mum. Over. And over. And over. I think he is trying to use me as an escape route! Anyway, as a result I think we will be trying free roaming in the hall this evening to give him a little more interest in his life.
Oh, one more thing. Quigley is getting more fussy with his food. He now leaves all the yellow cornflakes and big black pellets as well as a lot of the tiny little pieces (though he does still take some of those). I know that to stop him being fussy, I should not give him more mix until he has finished his old food. But, recently he lost weight and has only just started to gain again so I don't want to risk him losing once more.

Re: Quigley
Awww, Quigley is so cute with his glorious skirt peaking out from the wooden house door. I think it's so amazing how our hammies can manage to get into the tightest of holes and turn around in places unimaginable. Quigley's skirt is growing so much fuller and longer by the day (or should I say the second?). I wonder what he will look like when he is fully grown. He may need you to carry his skirt train for him, LOL! As always, I love all of his wonderful pics. Have fun with Quigley and his free roaming time. I'm sure it will be a blast.
