Re: Newt's thread
I love the Lake District! My family has had me hiking up mountains there since I was little.
Winter is coming so cute that Newtie knows. Not sure Quigley has noticed yet.

Re: Newt's thread
Ah Quigley has much more fur Last night the new treat stick was completely bare! All snaffled and presumably hoarded. And Newt didn't want to come out again. I think he's definitely cosying up for the winter. He stopped running in his wheel to listen to me a couple of times and looked like he was thinking about coming out, but then just carried on in his wheel again. All the new paper bedding has gone too. Looks like he's all set for the winter!

Re: Newt's thread
If Newtie thinks winter is coming now...wait until the real thing arrives! He really will get busy then.

Re: Newt's thread
Ha ha. He'll probably be all cosy when it's actually winter as the heating will be on I think it's the "nights drawing in" backendish syndrome! Charlie always did this around now as well. Although he was also more reclusive right through winter and in dark nights. Funny you'd think, as they come out after dark, they'd be out more on dark nights. So it must be temperature as well I think. It is a bit chilly here today. Bye bye Summer! Although - we've had some good warm Septembers some years.

Re: Newt's thread
Lol at Coco's comment. Newt will be mega busy!
It's getting dark just after 8 o'clock now. I've been finding it humid.

Re: Newt's thread
I’ve only ever seen a few episodes of Game of Thrones, but the “Winter is coming” reference had me picturing a hamster production of it lol.

Re: Newt's thread
I had to laugh at Newt's christmas list! Plenty of time to come up with more ideas yet Newt
If anything I think mine are the opposite to syrians & a bit more active in winter, I hope winter isn't coming just yet though, it's only just begun to feel like summer for the first time in about two months here!
Love the thought of Newt busy making preparations anyway

Re: Newt's thread
Newtie has definitely gone into winter mode. As he doesn't seem to come out much at night at the moment, I decided to lift him out for a while while cleaning his potty. If he's in the playpen he clamours to go back in the cage. If he's on the sofa he goes to sleep So he ran up my arm again and sat under my hair, then sat under my leg and finally did a Charlie and crawled into a conveniently placed donut bed under a blanket. I think he likes to snooze more at night now it's chillier in the evenings. We are on top of a hill in the north of England! Even though I know it's supposed to be warm elsewhere.

Re: Newt's thread
Naaaw good to see him enjoying his bed - practise for hibernation, maybe? Lol tell Newtie he mustn’t think about hibernating for real. Loving his ears in that third picture. Gorgeous boy.

Those are super cute photos of Newtie. He does love his donut bed. Very sweet boy.
