Newt meets a dinosaur, moves a mountain and has a good stretch

I thought Newtie was getting a bit bored with the same toys in the playpen so I put stepson's plastic dinosaur in. He wasn't that interested at first and sniffed it a bit, but then made me laugh by pushing his sputnik top around. Later he decided to attack the dinosaur - at which point I had to take it out as he bit off the end of one of the fingers lol. Don't worry he didn't try and eat the finger end! He dropped/spat it out. But I didn't want to risk him biting anything else off and possibly pouching it. Stepson won't mind - it's a tiny finger end and he'll think it's funny.

lol! that was so funny
What a good idea to carry your safe hide out around with you to keep you safe from the scary dinosaur Newt
I love the brave bit at the end when he puts his head in it's mouth!

Funny sweet little Newt. The newt and the dinosaur lol one tiny lizard and one big one... Though of course the former is in fact a hamster and the latter a plastic toy! Looked as though he was trying to give that dinosaur a kiss for a moment there.

Oh lol I loved watching that video Serendipity Newt is so funny, stealthing around under his sputnik. I remember seeing a video of AP's Mushu doing the same thing under his white plastic house, it looked so funny.

I like watching them stretch too, it's amazing how much longer they look when they do that (especially when you have Russian dwarfs lol).

He's very energetic on his wheel, he looks very composed and confident. He's turning in to quite the young gentleman, or could be if he wouldn't eat your carpet

Yes I can see he has grown in the last couple of weeks when I see him in that wheel It's an 11" wheel but only just looks big enough now. I got it to fit in Charlie's rather low holiday cage. He still has the Silent Runner in his cage.

hahahaha all the video is superb but my favourite part was when he moved the sputnik like planning his next stealthy attack to the dinosaur. He is SOOOOOOO cute!! and hilarious! You have a very beautiful hamster Serendipity!

Thank you Cypher, April, Boris, and Hamsterita. Newt gives a high five to you and your hams. Yes he is very cute and funny! He had seemed a bit bored the night before, but was full of beans last night. And he only likes being in the playpen if I'm there and talking to him (or if Stepson is there too). If I leave him in it for a bit he just sits in a corner and looks a bit worried. So he clearly likes the attention. I like it when he stops and looks at me while running in his wheel or doing something as if waiting for approval or praise!

Tonight is weigh night but he hasn't been getting up till about 10.30pm so I'll probably post that tomorrow.

That was a super cute video. I thought Newtie was using his Sputnik to creep up on the dinosaur unnoticed if he was green too! Then he became braver. Great stretches too and speedy on the wheel. Love the idea of him wanting someone with him or watching while he is in the playpen.

That video was absolutely hilarious
I loved him moving his Sputnik about! Was he scent marking it and moving it in the process? I saw him rub his hip on it so I wondered. He's getting so big! He was very brave to face that dinosaur
