Re: Mushu the Fluffy
What a cute little guy! I love his "kilt" (as amity said might fit him better ) Duncan always loves going for the treat tub rather than just being patient and getting his treats one at a time!

Re: Mushu the Fluffy
SO SHINY
I think this song is particularly appropriate for Mushu:
https://youtu.be/93lrosBEW-Q
Particularly these lyrics:
Shiny
Like a treasure from a sunken pirate wreck
Scrub the deck and make it look...
Shiny
I will sparkle like a wealthy woman's neck
I'll never hide; I can't, I'm too...
Shiny
Watch me dazzle like a diamond in the rough
Strut my stuff; my stuff is so...
Shiny
You'll never be quite as...
Shiny
You wish you were nice and...
Shiny
The mystery of his coat type has been solved by Souffle - thank you, by the way.
He is a SATIN long haired cream!
I was really surprised to discover that he is a satin, given he came from a pet shop. But, there's no denying it...
He's so SHINY!!!
And, in honour of that, here is another photo of him being SHINY

Re: Mushu the Fluffy
I really liked your post. I was good to know a little bit about your life and Mussu's story.
I'm sorry for your illness and I hope you are completely recovered.
Don't worry for your mistakes. We all make them, and the important thing is that it's clear that you care.
Mussu looks awesome in the photos and videos. I also like his kilt. I think that men in kilts are very sexy, but maybe it's because when I imagine men in kilts I only can think about him http://minervamag.com/wp-content/upl...ander-Rant.jpg

Re: Mushu the Fluffy
NERVES
Thank you all once again for how nice your comments have been
I know it may seem like Mushu is tame already because he doesn't bite and allows me to pick up, feed and stroke him. But, despite all that, I can tell that he is still nervous around me. There's nothing in particular that he does to suggest this, but I can tell when a hamster is not completely relaxed. And it makes me sad that Mushu can't completely relax with me yet. I wish he understood English so that I could explain to him that I am not about to eat him!
I love him so much and I want him to trust me. I guess I just have to be patient. He has only been with me for 10 days today.

Re: Mushu the Fluffy
Try not to be too sad April 10 days is still a very short time and you've made great progress with him already, keep being positive and patient with him and I'm sure you'll get there with him

Re: Mushu the Fluffy
Thank you Boris. I could never be upset with Mushu for still being a bit nervy. But it makes me upset at myself because I feel as though I am doing something wrong. Having said that, he is coming along more quickly than other hamsters I have owned. Taming is always such an uncertain time! But, it is always worth it in the end.

Re: Mushu the Fluffy
Mushu is just wow, what a fluffmeister he is....
Glad he likes cheese, to help with the taming have you tried putting a treat or two on the flat of your hand and letting him come and take them at his own pace? it is a good way of building a trust.
By the way Pip had a roast chicken dinner tonight, roast chicken green beans sweetcorn and carrot...
