Re: Duncan's thread
I too love that first pic of Duncan on your shoulder ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) I actually took Boris outside a couple of weeks ago so he could sniff the air :P I was holding him all the time (wouldn't dare put him down!) and he seemed to enjoy having a good sniff. The minute he stopped sitting still I brought him back inside lol.

Re: Duncan's thread
Congrats on adopting Pepper for the summer and getting a new Chinese hammy soon. I so look forward to seeing their lovely pics and reading about them as well. It is sweet that Pepper reminds you of your past hammy, Remmington. I know that this must have touched you and pulled at your heartstrings even more. I am so extremely excited for you and your knew furries!!!!
Duncan's new upgrade sounds so exciting, and I certainly can't wait to see the finished project, too. Duncan is being such a patient little fellow, and I know he can't wait to enjoy his newest masterpiece DIY home. You are such a wonderful servant pampering him.
Duncan's 2nd pic of him leisurely eating with his eyes closed and his first pic of him being on your shoulder going outside is are truly precious. He surely is a cutiepie! As far as the missing pics on your camera are concerned, you may want to keep an extra sharp eye on your spunky Duncan. He may have very well used his expertise in photo removal just as Eros has done to my camera in the past.

Re: Duncan's thread
Thank you all for the kind words ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) I'll be sure to share any updates I get. As of now, there's been no updates
Here's a picture of the lovely Duncan himself, featuring his paper shred hat
Here is a not so happy photo however
That is a photo of a couple of my animals (Duncan is in the 20 long on the bottom) inside the tornado shelter. The darn south's bad weather has struck yet again and we're facing severe thunderstorms and now, a tornado warning has been issued (which means one has touched down or is about to). I will be following my animals into the shelter shortly. The weather here really is insane!
Here is a photo from when Duncan chose to steal a ritz from me, he is fine quite obviously. (That green tube has been removed)
Hope you're all having a good day!

Re: Duncan's thread
Hope you are all safe - the weather really does sound bad where you are. Worst we get here in England is a little rain! Sensible move, getting your pets into the shelter.
Duncan looks very sweet with his paper ‘hat’, and positively gleeful with his cracker! Did he get to eat it? Was wondering whether that is something I might allow Mushu to try, but I think crackers are salty? Not sure as we don’t often have them.

Re: Duncan's thread
Most crackers would not be safe for hamsters, although there could be some with entirely natural ingredients that might work. They wouldn't really have any nutritional benefit though,so you'd be much better off not feeding them at all and instead giving things like fresh vegetables or safe grains and seeds that aren't in their main diet(ones that are in the main diet don't add any real nutritional value since there would be no dietary variety with the item offered).

Luckily the tornado came nowhere near us so everyone is safe here. It's still quite rainy though, but nothing too extreme luckily enough.
As for the crackers, I wouldn't recommend offering them often as amity said. In this photo he had stolen a bit of one that I had as I had my hands full and was eating, and I of course dropped it! I got most of it back from him though so he only had a tiny corner. There are some human foods you could offer Mushu, but I'd recommend something like unsalted popcorn (no butter either) or crackers with no salt on them

Re: Duncan's thread
Glad you’re ok! I am so glad we don’t get tornadoes here. Ah thanks for the advice on crackers. I thought that may be the case - have yet to try Mushu on unsalted popcorn so I will have to get some.

Re: Duncan's thread
Drago, I am so relieved that you and your animals are all safe. We have also had extremely terrible weather here as well. In fact, I and my pets have spent several hours for the past couple of days in the bathtub due to the sirens where I live blaring warning of the imminent threat of severe weather and tornadoes as well. It was definitely quite a tight squeeze to have us and their cages all in the same tub, but I didn't want us to be parted in case they may need me and I know that tubs are the safest place to be in those weather circumstances. Eros didn't even seem to notice much, although Snickers was definitely frightened. Unfortunately, there have been a few homes that were destroyed in my county, but luckily no one has died that I know of due to the severe weather.
On a lighter note, I totally LOVE the adorable pic of Duncan wearing his shredded paper hat. He is such an absolute cutiepie! His expression surely brightens my day with all that incredible cuteness. Duncan, you sure make me smile and laugh.
Hugs to you and all of your pets. Glad that you are all safe and sound!
