Bin cage

I saw this there other day while out shopping and was wondering if anyone uses this or know if it will be big enough for a syrian hamster i would probably attach it to the tub i already have set up Really Useful 145L Storage Box - Clear

This is the one i have already Really Useful 64L Storage Box - Clear
This one is attached to another one just now but there isn't enough flour space for her

I have one of my Chinese in the 145L RUB & the floor space isn't that big really, it works out slightly less than the Hamster Heaven cage so on it's own a bit small for a syrian really depending on how active your ham is, if you're going to attach it to another bin then you could create more floor space but it's still not the same as having one bigger cage with uninterrupted floor space really.

Thank you, yeah my syrian is very active I'm finding it so hard to find a good size for her everything i see is so small and some are so expensive. Do you have any suggestions on cages? Do you know if any of the ikea cages are size appropriate

The larger cages at zooplus seem to be adequate for most hamsters, the Alexander & Barney are the most popular.
It's hard to find anything much bigger than that really but with a cage that size all in one rather than smaller add on bin cages & plenty of out of cage time in a play pen she should be fine.

Actually you could connect bins together directly instead of buying a wire cage which might not work either

Tubes connecting bins won't help,but direct connections would help.

As for Ikea cages,using four Lack units can make a square meter sized cage for a very reasonable price once you add some melamine for sides and one or two pieces of perspex/acrylic for front panels along with making a lid!However,considering you already have bins and could expand those directly it might be better to stick with bins instead.
