Default Briar Patch - The Cinnamon Surprise

I'm sure many of you will recognise this little lady as the unexpected member of Leedsgurl's Rupennies litter - please meet Briar Patch (Briar for short)

She is just over 7 weeks old and came home with me on Saturday. I was amazed at how big all the girls were - they're a bunch of chunky monkeys! It was great to see them all snuggled up together before they went off to their new homes.

She is settling well into the Alaska, which will be her home while we get used to each other. I'll be moving to a new house in a month or two, at which point she should be ready to take possession of Luke's old Alexander to give her a bit more space - which she'll probably need if she continues to grow at the same rate!

We've had a couple of short handling sessions so far, with a little free-roaming on the study floor, which she found to be full of interesting things & smells She's also taken to her sandbath with the enthusiasm of a natural-born digger.

So far there's no signs of the 'naughty tortie' personality - perhaps she's just biding her time...

Congrats, Hambobs! You are so lucky to have a Rupennie! I fell in love with all of them although your new ham had a special place in my heart. Good luck with little Briar Patch! Can't wait for more updates and pictures.

Thanks all

Will do my best to keep her fanbase updated, although I think she'll need to work on her camera poses a little - this sequence of pics was the best I managed during handling & free-roam time tonight...
