Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you cypher, CMB and Thin Lizzy - Pumpkin is very pleased that you were impressed with her fitch mountain however she decided to flatten it the other night so it not as impressive anymore.
____________
Laptop Updates
I have both good news and bad news regarding my laptop - well my laptop couldn't be fixed as their is a problem with the motherboard itself and connections are lose (I didn't touch the motherboard and I only replace the little battery, so I don't think it was due to me taking it apart) - so therefore my mouse-pad still doesn't work but I can use a plug in mouse and everything else still work ok (despite being a fairly old laptop) ... however as I have my laptop back it means I can share photos of Pumpkin again!
_______
Clock Change Cuddles and Photos
Since the recent clock change and Pumpkin being so set in her usual routine of 8:30GMT being cuddle time I thought getting her out at 8:30BST would be a little too early for especially as she getting a tiny bit more lazier as she is nearing 20 months. So the last 2 night I decided to see whether she would be happy to come out at 9:00 instead which she has been more than happy with – however she is a little confused when it time to go to back to her cage as she look at me to say it isn’t time yet and resumed her grooming – so I have been having to wait a little while for her to be finished and her to venture out of her grass nest and hop into her ball for me to transport her back to her cage.
I thought her cuddle time routine would be the only part of her routine affected by the clocks change – as normally once I returned Pumpkin to her cage she has eats her treat and goes to bed and then comes out once I had gone to bed. However the last few night she also been having lots of cuddle in the evening until I decided it time to go to bed however she thinks I’m going to bed too early and that she missing out on her usual evening cuddle despite having had loads already. So as soon as I switch the red light of and put my head on my pillow Pumpkin will try her best to get my attention – either chewing on her silent runner/or wooden wheel or last night nosily banging her willow sticks against the edge of her cage in the hope of getting some more cuddles. However when she realises this didn’t work she soon focused on her digging and running in her wheels.
Pumpkin realised that her fitch mountain was getting to big so decided that she was going to completely flatten it – I work up one morning finding this fitch had all been kicked into her sand bath. I think by their being all this fitch in her sand bath she started to use her house also as her toilet so Friday when she came out for cuddle she didn’t smell too nice and had the familiar scent of pee on her. Which meant I had to clean her house out – fortunately was only a little but she was getting very inpatient with being in her carrier whilst doing quickly cleaning her house – I think she has completely gone back to her sand bath as she hasn’t smelt of pee recently when she come out or cuddles.
I have a batch of red cabbage and rocket sprouts ready so she has been enjoying helping herself to these – she thinks they are so good that she has to eat they straight away.
I actually can’t believe that Pumpkin is approximately 20 months old already – I doesn’t feel possible as I just feels like it wasn’t too long ago I brought her home but she still being her usual hyper and cuddly self-albeit she is slightly a little bit more lazier. I weighed her last night also as it has been a while and her weight is still 188g.
And now for the photos – It has been a little difficult to get focused photos of Pumpkin recently as when she realises I’m near her cage she gets really excited and begins demanding cuddles so here are a few I managed to take
Recently of Pumpkin being cute and foraging for her food…

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Lovely photos of Pumpkin foraging & definitely looking very cute!
I find it hard to believe she's 20 months already, time does go so quickly & it really doesn't seem that long since she came home with you!

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you Razor and cypher - Pumpkin is getting more used to her new cuddle time routine and has been cheekily demanding cuddles in the evening too.
__________
A "Good Friday" Mess and Scrumptious Sprouts
This morning I awoke to a big mess in her cage which she carried out whilst I was fast asleep. As you will see from the photos her sand bath is full of fitch! Well Pumpkin must have been having fun ...
Recently when I have given Pumpkin both her Rocket and Red Cabbage sprouts I haven't taken any photos therefore the other day I remembered I only got these two as Pumpkin decided to eat the rest once I had put my camera away - my little cheeky monkey!
I also tried to get another really cute photo of Pumpkin the other night to she was sitting so elegantly with her paw placed on her red wooden mushroom - she sat there for a while so I got my camera as soon as I get my camera focused Pumpkin turns around and sits with her back to me - it was a little disappointing but I had to laugh - she is also gorgeous from behind too!
Pumpkin hopes you and your hamily are getting excited for Easter - she say they are a day full of yummy treats. Pumpkin is excited to get her Easter Egg which I had bought over a month - I cant wait to capture her egg excitement this year too!

Re: All About My Pumpkin
I had a little bit of catching up to do with Pumpkin's thread but it is never a chore to read all about what she's been up to and seeing so many wonderful pictures. It certainly was a very impressive mountain she had built!
It sounds like Pumpkin has been keeping herself (and you) very entertained with all he antics recently
I hope Pumpkin will enjoy her Easter egg. I didn't get one this year as no one seemed to like it here last year Happy Easter to you and Pumpkin

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you cypher and Boris Pasha. I totally agree a messy cage does equal a happy hamster and a fun night! She has also definitely been keeping me entertained as there is never a dull moment with Pumpkin she always up to something crazy or demanding lots and lots of cuddles.
______________
Happy Easter
Myself and Pumpkin wanted to wish everyone and their hamilies a Happy Easter.
So here is a Card from us as well as some of Pumpkin's HOM outtakes ...
This afternoon Pumpkin ventured out of her house and she got to open her Easter presents and crack open her egg. It was so lovely to see how excited she was when she sniffed out her egg and then was very eager to carry it off to her hoard. And then Pumpkin wondered where her egg had disappeared to after I had removed as she started pouching big pieces of it - and then went for an easter egg hunt around her whole cage trying to find. She will get a little piece each week to enjoy. (Pumpkin's egg is hamster safe one from p@h). I couldn't not get pictures so here are a few that I took ...
