Re: All About My Pumpkin
That's some shop you did for her, she's so lucky and deserves to be spoilt rotten.

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Pumpkin is so spoilt already lol! Great haul for her, I'm sure she's really going to enjoy all those new things.
Sounds like she's really happy & making herself very much at home already, I have a feeling taming & bonding will be a doddle

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank You pinkneon, Serendipity7000, Thin Lizzy and Cypher , Pumpkin has definitely been spoilt – I get quite a bit as I can’t buy these items here in the UK. I also went hamster shopping on Tuesday, went to 2 pets stores and The Range and bought a few more toys and tunnels – including a hyacinth and a seagrass tunnel, a rosewood caterpillar chew, some coloured bendy bridges (I had to throw mine away - as they didn’t dry properly so went mouldy) and a few more items.
Today, I have put some more chews in Pumpkin’s cage including the rosewood caterpillar, a 3D fruit roller chew, a natural wood stick along with scatter some seeds around – in the hope they would distract her a bit from bar chewing – she had fun looking for the seeds and that keep her amused for a while and she tried out her new chews – and has been chewing on the wood stick which she has carried to her toilet – which was funny to watch. She has been chewing the bars already today but currently chewing and digging inside her cardboard box. I think she will appreciate a taming session tomorrow and can have a nice run around the playpen hopefully all the excitement will tire her out for a bit and may stop her bar chewing. Pumpkin is a busy little girl at the moment having a lot of fun– she always up to something although she has made a mess of her cage. I managed to get a few photos of her looking for her seeds…

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you Pinkneon, she looked so cute when she was looking for her seeds - I couldn't resist taking a few photo.
That is nice that Santa Paws is replacing Sweep's Seagrass tunnel

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Aww she's pretending to be camera shy! Gorgeous colouring. Harvey had that house but he started peeing in it and he now has Archie's igloo which he loves and has gone back to his toilet corner.
I'm going to have to make a visit to my Range store.

I have two of these Gingerbread houses – I couldn’t resist getting another one 50% off last year – Pumpkin has currently filled hers up with Fitch. I like visiting The Range, although they don’t have the biggest selection of small pet toys (you can see their selection on their website) but the items they have are fairly inexpensive – the other day I bought 2 bendy bridges, 2 boredom breaker chew tubes Small (£0.49p) and Medium (£1.00), some Burgess gnaw sticks and a few treats. Normally I get Plastikote and Harry Hamster food from The Range too.
First Taming Session –
Today Pumpkin had her first taming session – at first she was a little wary of the playpen and she took a while to feel brave enough to venture out of her cage – but once she was out she was her confident self, running around exploring, playing with some new toys – although she did start chewing the towel I had covered my carpet with but when she realised I had hidden a few treats around this was a distraction for her – linseeds, pumpkin seeds, pieces of walnut and few mealworms – she had fun searching for them – she really likes the mealworms and did turn her nose up to walnuts initially but did pouch them later on. Pumpkin did find the courage to climb into my hands but she was a little nervous at first – but this is good progress for her first taming session. She wasn’t best pleased when it was time to go back in her cage – trying to find a way back out, started chewing the cage door but a little while later she was fast asleep in her nest - all the excitement tired her out.
