Default Strange behaviour

Hi, ive not been on this forum in forever but i just have a quick question.

Last night i found smudge behind his bench looking very frail, he felt cold to the touch and was very wobbly on his feet. He wouldn't eat or drink anything and i honestly thought he was dying. I removed everything from his cage except his bed and prepared for the worst.
However about an hour later he was back to his normal self, running around the cage, eating, drinking and climbing on top of his house as if nothing had happened. Anyone know what was wrong with him? Ive had many hamsters but this has never happened before

I'd say we had a cold night last night and perhaps he'd been caught off guard and not nested so well. He may have been a bit chilly and then warmed up. I've had this happen for the first time a couple of times during the start of this year where it's warmed up and then suddenly gone a bit cold.

Thanks. Do you think its normal that his ears have been down since it happened?
Im thinking of taking him to the vets just for a quick check up to make sure he is ok

I think a vet visit is a good idea. Ears down can mean he's not feeling well.
