Re: Willow's Thread
Oh dear Willow! I don't think you were naughty, you were just expressing yourself! Does your human person not understand Hamster either? Mine doesn't which is so frustrating! But I don't think she is making much effort to actually learn Hamster! I wish I was allowed daily nuts! The pink human lady rations my walnuts, and I rarely see peanuts! How unfair is that? I got a "beach" in my home today! Sweep

Re: Willow's Thread
Absolutely agree Willow, you were just showing your emotions and expressed them the way you wanted.

Re: Willow's Thread
Oh dear! That is the frustrating thing about fleece hammocks - you can only use them for hammies that don't chew them! I haven't been able to have anything fleece inside Charlie's cage for the last couple of years, but he seems to old to bother chewing the cube he has in now I only put it in now because he is lacking toys on the shelf due to his "old hamsafe" set up
Someone made a hammock out of a chill and chew mat that looked good. And she might enjoy chewing that. It's a pain trying to hang hammocks though. I think Sisal string is probably safest. I thought pear clips were good, but maybe not for Syrians as another member said her syrian got his head stuck in a pear clip. Whereas I think large paper clips are a risk for getting a foot caught.

Haha the way she's going I don't see Willow calming down anytime soon! The hammock was actually hung with pear clips but they were tiny - I don't see how she'd even fit her nose through
I'm thinking of getting a chill n chew mat actually and ordering some paper string off Amazon. Might get an XL Sputnik from RatRations

Re: Willow's Thread
Willow here
So today something very exciting happened!!! I GOT A WALNUT!!!!!!!!!! My pet human came back from the shop and said she got walnuts!!!! I was soooooooo happy that I started running around and squeaking with joy! When she gave it to me I grabbed it from her and ran with it as fast as my little legs would carry me to eat it in the privacy of my nest which I had built in my wheel (mummy doesn't seem to like it as much as I do ). My only problem was that it had a shell on it! Coming from my experience with monkey nuts, I thought it would be super-duper-easy - but I was severely mistaken! As I am typing this on my special ham-puter with my ham-fi, I still haven't opened it! But I will...I will...I will...

Re: Willow's Thread
Dear Sweep,
Oh dear, it's very naughty of the mad pink human lady to do that - especially after she threw them all away! Half and half?

Willow I hope you've managed to crack it open.
