Hi Folks,
Well Pip's new cage arrived today, I was expecting it Monday at the earliest, so thank you Zooplus and Yodel..
I have assembled it and it is pretty cool (well it is an Alaska) so much bigger than the one she has at the moment which I thought was a decent size. So tonight I will be transferring her over I now need to get Pip some more goodies.. I may construct an elevated tube run in the roof of the cage for her plus I have some other ideas for the cage too.....
P.S. The box the cage came in, with all the flaps cut off will make an excellent play pen for her too.....

Hope she likes her new cage. It may be worth letting her play in it a little then put her back in the old cage for a few days before moving her permenantely. It could stop her getting as stressed by the move.

Hi Rads! I have followed Pippin's thread from the start and she is a great girl!
Errr...do you need to cut the flaps off?? I never did and used the box as a play area. Advantages are folding them down when not in use and putting them up to raise the wall height to guard against escapes!

Hi Coco,

With the flaps cut off the "Play Pen" lays flat for storage and when set out the height of the sides is 15" so no danger of Pip climbing out.

Thank you for following Pip's thread she is quite a little character, since her little escape when ever she is in the ball all she does is try to chew her way out..!

What a great little character Pippin is!
My lad is called Mocho and with his cousin Jarvis, they were introduced to HC a year ago in the thread Please may we present Jarvis and Mocho in Syrian hamsters. He is a gentle and now reclusive character but full of character nonetheless!

Hi Sweep, Custard, Oreo, Mocho, Jarvis & everyone else,
It's Pip here,
I am shocked, stunned and generally amazed with what my pet Human has done for little me...!
I have got my new house..! I didn't know it was here, I was enticed out of my old house into my ball and then into what Mr Human called a play pen where I can run about freely with out my ball, that was bliss my giant wheel was there too...
Well Mr Human was doing things I could not see and as I was running in my wheel I was not that fussed either...

So there I was running about and doing all things Hamstery, Mr Human was doing his stuff, next thing I know I am back in my ball and Whay Hey I am up to my new cage well I couldn't wait and was straight into it and started with operation explorey .
All I can say is Wow wow wow it is so big I have more room than ever and my giant wheel is here too I am in Hamster Heaven....
I have even allowed Mr Human to show you all a picture of my new home..
TTFN I'm going Ruuuuuuunnnnninnng

Wow Pip your new home looks nice! I have that wooden log thing too with carrots in. I nibble at it every now and then but got annoyed with it cos it wouldn't go into my bed! I climbed out of the play place that was made of a cardboard box thing ... That was my first ever adventure! It was fun! I'm off to get my dinner now.

Yo Folks,

Pip seems to like her new abode she spent quite some time exploring, in trying not to freak her out I put her toilet, house etc in the same places as in her old cage.
It seems it will do, interestingly enough she is still bar chewing even with all her bits and pieces.
Pip has also now become a climber and even tried to monkey bar last night, she is turning into "Action Hamster" with her antics I would swear she has been watching Mission Impossible when my back is turned...
I have a genuine concern over this as the new cage is much taller than her old one if she falls she could injure herself even though Hamsters are quite robust little creatures and she has a decent depth of Carefresh substrate,,,,,,
