Panda's Health Worries
Hey, Our four month old hamster, Panda, has a really swollen abdomen and after constant research, two vet examinations and some prescription lactulose and liquid paraffin with little improvement, we believe it may be Closed Pyometra.
I am wondering if anyone knows the estimated cost to have this surgically fixed (i.e. spayed). She is also looking a bit ragged around her neck and under her tail as though she is neglecting her usual grooming. We are really worried and would like to get her seen asap.
Cheers, R and C.

Re: Panda's Health Worries
Hi, I've never had this happen so I can't help you, I'm afraid. A lot of vets fees seem to vary wildly, geographically. There is a sticky thread in one of the boards, I believe, of vets fees but no idea of it covers surgery. The only way to know for sure is to speak to your vet so can talk you through the cost, the procedure & everything else you need to know. I hope Panda is ok.
