The other Charlie's Thread
Decided to make one of these threads for Charlie, the Sable Banded Syrian, he's roughly 4 months old now, I've had him for just over a month.
Here he is, sat amidst the destruction of toilet roll tubes (he's jsut below the right hand hanging toy, he's quite fascinated by this), he destroys roughly 2-3 of these every day

Re: The other Charlie's Thread
Lol! Maybe he wants to make nest material out of them! Our Charlie says hello to your Charlie and asks what he weighs at the moment.

Hi Charlie!

He's a bar chewer, bought all sorts of chewing toys, but he just ignores them, so I started leaving the toilet toll tubes near the bars he usually chews, and he went for them instead

Re: The other Charlie's Thread
He's a normal size then! Must weigh our Charlie again - last time he was weighed he was a chunky 220g! I think he was off his food while we were on holiday though as he seems to have lost a bit of weight and felt quite bony for a while but is chunking out again now lol!
Your Charlie sounds like a fun little character ripping his toilet rolls up lol! Have you seen those little carrot/hay cardboard houses? I bet he'd have fun with that! Ours isn't a chewer really but he spent ages chewing the hay off and ripping the roof off inside!
You can get them from Viovet or Amazon. It's slightly cheaper at Viovet but postage is extra, and £3.99 from Amazon with free delivery isn't bad!

Here's our Charlie chewing his in his pet carrier

Re: The other Charlie's Thread
I'll give one of those a go, thanks
pretty sure I've seen them in one of the pet stores I frequent.
Was just watching your video sat next to Charlie's cage, and when you started calling for your Charlie, he stuck his head out of his house wondering who was calling him

Re: The other Charlie's Thread
Lol! Yes he does seem to know when I'm talking to him - sometimes I think they react to tone of voice as much as anything.

Woke up this morning to see this. ( his cage is right next to my bed)
Edit: no idea why it's tilted it, silly iPad.
