What type of cage should I get ?

Ya sou Ellaki - do you have an IKEA near you? are you in Athens or somewhere else?

I know the choice in Greece is not very good, so you might be better to make a cage from a plastic storage box. Ikea sell some large ones but any very large plastic box will be ok.

It is not very difficult to make a cage out of the storage box and it will give your hamster the best space. I know that you will see small cages available but these are not good at all for the hamster, as it needs lots of room. Just because there are small cages available, it does not make them good.

You will waste your money on the Duna Fun. If you have 245 Euros to spend then you should be able to find something much better or make a "poli orea" cage from a plastic box.

Thank you all a lot !! Artisans uk thank you for your suggestions I will definitely do my best to find one of these cages . I really did not know that you speak greek ������ !!! I just started to make a bin cage by myself and I will probably connect that with the hamster's cage that I will buy , in order to extend its current cage . Owning a hamster in Greece is really difficult ! In fact , you cannot even find a simple hamster tube anywhere !! ������ I am pretty dissapointed , but I will try to make my future hamster as happy as I can !! Thank you a lot again !!!! Artisans uk it is kinda difficult for me to order cages from websites . Can you search for cages in pet stores at Greece ? I have searched a lot , but I can't find a good cage for my hamster .. I saw the Savic Hamster Heaven cage at a youtube video and I was so sad I could not offer this type of cage to my new hamster ������ If I lived somewhere else , this would definitely be the cage I would buy ....

What about buying a mini duna and just connect it to several bin cages ??

I don't think that would be a good idea. They need maximum continuous floorspace which isn't the same as separate units. Amazon uk ship to Greece so I put links to cages from Amazon uk, but if Internet shopping isn't an option, it looks like diy might be best. Glad you've started on a bin cage! I really wouldn't waste your money on a Duna Fun. Some of those Greek shops Artisans found, might do an order over the phone for you rather than Internet.
