All the babies ended up with names from Once Upon a Time. We had Regina (Evil Queen), Neil, Henry, Daniel (who we later discovered was Aurora!) Shadow, Rumple, Snow White, Emma, Thomas (Cinderella's man) Belle, Killian (Captain Hook) and of course Prince Charming. It was just easier to tell them apart that way... and so far everyone has kept the same name except Rumple who is now Charlie. (His new Hommy is my youngest daughter's best friend.)

I will say this... between the adults, the babies and the pigs it's NOT cheap! Although we've discovered that shredding newspaper roll ends makes a great bedding so that's helped a bit. (My Mom works for our local community news paper and can get the roll ends on paper days... they're all clean with no ink on them.) The pigs don't like it as much, but they're also mostly litter trained so I'm going to be investing in the fleece flippers for them soon. Still... we go through about 5 KG of hammy food and 2KG of pig food per month, about 4 LARGE bags of bedding not to mention all the fresh fruits, veggies, tofu, etc. I don't have them all in "ideal" cages but they all get 2-3 hours a day of "ball" time. I'm trying to figure out how to build some outdoor hutches that they won't be able to dig out of just to give them some fresh air... especially during the summer. We took Rex and Dixie outside last summer in their balls and they had a BLAST running around!

Of course, I have 2 other full time businesses... so I REALLY don't have time for all of these guys even with my DD helping. But funny enough, they tend to get all the attention anyway! LOL! Who needs work right?

Rex you say - was the hammy actually rex (or is that just it's name)? I know a gal in BC who was looking for more rex hamsters!

My little one is adjusting to life with a head tilt. It is kind of funny the circles he does sometimes Hubby laughs more than me, lol. I feel more sorry for hamster than he does I guess! Good luck with your brood!!
