Default How To Make A Hamster Comfy In It's Final Hours

I think my hamster may have had a mini stroke 2 weeks ago as she was shaking, I went to bed last night and she was fine, this morning she was shaking more and her eyes were closed, got back from work and she can't open her eyes and is shaking more again, she's asleep under her ladder and doesn't like me touching her (think because she can't see me) I've given her loads of bedding and treats even though I doubt she'll eat them.
Is there anything else I can do for her until the end?

I'm really sorry to hear about your hamster. I'm afraid I've not been in this position but I think the thing is to be guided by your ham. They may be comforted by being held but if a normally docile ham seems snappy then they're telling you they'd like to be quietly left alone. I think extra bedding & treats is good. I think I've read that making their food softer for them can encourage them to eat & make sure her food & water are near her nest so she does t have far to go.
I'm sure someone on here can give you some better advice soon though.

Sorry to hear your little girl isn't well.
Like Velma says, making sure they've got plenty bedding and comfort. Also some baby food like Heinz creamy porridge or rice pudding.
If you can hold her/stroke her this will be a comfort to her.
If she's in any pain, then maybe taking her to the vet to be put to sleep will let her pass peacefully.

Well amazingly this evening she is fine!! I am genuinely shocked, I honestly thought yesterday that was it. She's still a little shakey but her eyes are fully open, she's taken her dry food and had something to drink. Could it be possible that she was having a stroke all day yesterday??

She might've had the stroke before that, the side effects can last a little while afterwards.
So happy to hear she's much better! Hammies can recover from strokes, she's a little fighter!
