Question Cages for syrians

Hi I am fairly new to owning hamsters but I have had my Syrian hamster for about 4 months and have learned quite a lot, but I have gone through about 3 cages as he finds away to escape so does any one know a good cage that my hamster wont escape from that's at least 80x50cm.

Thanks

He wouldn't escape from my cage - unless he chews through plastic. It's a Savic Mickey 2XL with small 7mm bar spacing and a big sturdy door at the front that I don't believe any hamster could get open. It's 80cm by 50cm. Having said that, I now don't think this is quite big enough for a syrian and am wishing I'd got a bigger cage. The Alexander cage is good (100cm long) but I don't know how escape proof it is. It also has 7mm bar spacing, but has a top door which might need padlocking! You might be better with a tank style cage and no bars. But most of the ones I've seen are expensive.

A duna maxi? Also 100cm and only top bars which are small bar spacing.

You may want to explore bin cages, here is a thread about them: Photo Guide to Making a Bin Cage
