Re: Replacing the wheel?
You could if hight is an issue in the cage. All the flying saucers I have seen are tipped about 30 degrees and would there for need a lot of floor space. Some smaller Syrians are ok with 8" wheels as long as they can run with a straight back and neck its fine. also Id worry about them stopping suddenly on a saucer and flying off !!

Re: Replacing the wheel?
My youngest does that, she goes so fast on her saucer and falls off. I just make sure there's plenty of substrate surrounding the saucer so that she doesn't hurt herself.

Do you think it's a good idea to just sell the zoozone 1 and buy a cage with bars then it will be better for my hamster

Re: Replacing the wheel?
I had this problem as I have a duna multy which I think is about the same size as a zoozone 1. I personally prefer a tank style cage due to lack of mess. I have a saucer in my robo's
playtub which he likes so I like the idea of them but, for me, they just take up too much room in a cage. Especially the large Syrian size. I've just upgraded (I set it up today actually!) to a taller tank so I can fit a wodent wheel in. But as it's so heavy (glass) I shall keep my multy for a "holiday" cage.

Re: Replacing the wheel?
The flying saucer does take up a lot of space in the cage, I'm kinda hoping to swap Twinkles's saucer for a wheel.
HammyJJ I've always used cages for my hammies. It's really up to you!
