Lol! That's one impressive Fitch mountain, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he builds it to reach the top of the cage.
So lovely seeing this side of Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Sweep made some mountains before he went to the sitter. I told him it didn't match his beach theme LOL

They could have been sand dunes

Haha! Maybe. He did glare at me when I told him it didn't quite go! Maybe he was making sandcastles?!

Wow! What a fitch mountain! An enormous amount of work went into that creation. It's a work of art!

Thank you Coco. Yes I think he's a clever boy doing it too - problem is I'm going to have to do a minor clean soon and don't want to spoil it! I might tunnel in under it myself and spot clean/check on his hoard that way

I had Charlie out for a little bit late last night. He really does have difficulty with his back legs these days, but only for trying to climb up something (ie trying to get over the top of his blanket blocking the edge of the sofa! And I have to give him a gentle leg up. He is also weeing a lot. So I worried that he may have some pain and decided to try and give him the Metacam again. Again he refused it from a teaspoon, so I mixed it with a tiny amount of fruit yoghurt on a teaspoon. He gingerly tasted a bit from the edge of the spoon then gave me an untrusting look as if to say "are you trying to poison me?!" He has always been a very intelligent little guy I told him the medicine would be good for any pain he had. But I don't want to force it on him - he seems so well in himself. After that he had a run around on the floor and is really fast on the level and quite perky. So again I've decided to leave the Metacam for now. He has lost 5g again since he was last weighed, but that was on different scales at the vets, so I'll see what he is next week (although 5g lower than his normal weight on my scales, but 10g more than he was last time on my scales!). So he is 115g now.

He seems fine, just an older little guy with back legs that don't climb well. I still don't think he's in pain because he's so perky when he has a bit of freedom.

After that he had a run around on the floor and is really fast on the level, if a bit of a waddle, and quite perky. So again I've decided to leave the Metacam for now. He has lost 5g again since he was last weighed, but that was on different scales at the vets, so I'll see what he is next week (although 5g lower than his normal weight on my scales, but 10g more than he was last time on my scales!). So he is 215g now. That's since I stopped the crushed supplements and reduced the babyfood.

I'm hoping you mean 215g!
Bless him with the metacam, Alfie still hates me from the forced squirts although when there's a treat around he still comes over

If you don't think he's in pain I'd leave it for a time when you think he may need it more, the stuff is so expensive! He's a clever guy knowing you're spiking his food lol
