Re: Five baby Syrians.
I love them. I've separated the two goldens into their own cages. The runt was picked on a bit earlier, so I felt it best to move him. I'm going to separate the creams from each other as well, most likely tonight, just have to get the cages ready.
I will admit, they aren't in the minimum recommended cage size but it will do for now as they are so small anyway and it will help greatly with handling.
Both goldens run towards my hand, but the creams will need some more patience and time.

isn't that usually the way with cream babies? I find them to be quite timid..

Re: Five baby Syrians.
I haven't had any young cream hamsters before, so I can't really say
I'll have to find out! I'm sure I'll have enough time with these little ones.

Re: Five baby Syrians.
Goldens sound like our golden, haha.
Honestly, SinNyx, if they're not in the recommended, pish posh. They need a home, and a safe one right now, and smaller is a bit better if you're taming them. You're giving them an amazing new chance, and soon they will find forever homes where they can be doted upon. You're doing something fantastic.

Thank you Honestly, these little ones are so small that I think their cages will do for now, I can imagine they would of all found good homes by the time they need upgrades, if not, I always will commit to that.
Picture of the runt of the litter, a golden male. Pretty sure he is long-haired as well, his golden sibling seems to be the same just a bit less fluffy.

Re: Five baby Syrians.
He's got a little mohawk going for him there. We don't have a visible runt, but one of the pups weighs 9g less than her biggest sister. She causes quite a ruckus though so I'm not worried.
I know you'll give them the best housing possible, but smaller is better for the time being. Darissa and the six Hamsketeers are in a big SAMLA and sometimes it's reeeeally hard to find the little babies.

Re: Five baby Syrians.
He is so fluffy, and scruffy. He is definitely the small one, the fluff probably makes him look bigger. I think both goldens are LH but the creams seem to be SH, and the biggest.
I've even had someone who is scared of holding the hamsters hold the runt. His golden sibling is quite the active one too and very easy to handle - actually went down my back yesterday and I panicked (all was well in the end!).
UPDATE:
All of them are sleeping. One of the creams build a lovely little nest in a tube (ugh..). I can imagine they need the rest after yesterday.
