After the death of my hamster Tammy to wet tail, RIP girl. I picked up the new boy on Friday. He is such a character, I'm so happy with my choice. He always sits on his hind legs looking at me as if to say " what you looking at" lol such a handsome boy!

I let him settle in for a couple of days, got him out in the playpen for the first time last night

In some of the pics it looks like he is one of the more unusual hamsters who has odd coloured eyes. Does he have one red eye and one black eye in real life?

What a beautiful boy! He looks like a golden banded hamster to me too - and I think also he looks satin furred
