Question how small a space can a Syrian fit through?

Sorry for more questions...what's the smallest space a syrian can fit through even when its a baby or really small? Just so i can double check everything!
and do you guys have an alternatives to the ladder in an alexander cage or the crossing between the 2 shelves? so i can mix it about and keep him on his toes x pleaase help x thanks

A hamster, any hamster, can fit into a hole the size of their skull or bigger. Hamsters are experts at squishing through the smallest of gaps, but they can't fit into something that is smaller than their skull is.

I dunno about babies but most adults can easily fit through a gap about an inch/2.5cm wide and probably even a little smaller depending on the size of the hamster.

Okay thanks I'm just making sure everything is escape proof! Also i dont need to plasti-kote chew toys do i because they are meant to be chewed? sorry if its a silly question! haha x
