I agree with Sarah he DEFINIATELY said good bye to you love, how moving, how special and how wonderful for you - to be told by your own pet that it's okay - who could ask for anything more?
It sounds like he was terribly lucky to have had you for his earth Mummy, and you too were lucky to have had him.

I am so sorry for your loss, its the absolute worst thing about having small pets, Harry my oldest rat, I know he is going to leave me soon and its horrible, but I am so glad you where there with him. and that I am not the only one who sobs like a loon at the vets, thank God my vet is understanding....
