Introducing Bashful!
Meet Bashful! She's a Teddy Bear hamster. I think she's about a year old. I rescued her last November from a person who was going to use her as snake food if nobody took her! I also rescued Penelope, a female rat, with her. I was originally going to try and get someone to adopt them. Eventually, someone said that they were interested in both as pets. They came over, took them home, and ended up bringing poor Bashful back because they said she was vicious. The truth was, she was a little skittish, but not vicious at all. Well, needless to say, I kept her, and she's the cutest thing. I tamed her, and now she enjoys being held and petted. She loves the corn from her food. 
I know, the picture isn't the greatest, but I don't have a much better one. She's living in a aquarium with a screen lid now, too.

Yeah, even though its horrible, hamsters are a poor choice for snake food anyways.
