My new babies
My mom was kind enough the other day, to find me a new baby to love. My little brother also wanted one, but it was too expensive to buy everything new, so (thanks to Craigslist) we found three huge cages completes with everything, and two hamsters that came with it. One is a boy anyone is a girl, the lady we got them from said they were together since birth, and said that if separated they get lethargic, so we keep them together (I want to separate them) but there still very young. My new hamster is named Tina and my brother named his black bear hamster Rigbear like Rigbear from regular show on Cartoon Network.

Re: My new babies
You are right to want to separate them - a brother and sister ham can produce babies - they don't know they "shouldn't."

Re: My new babies
There is another cage, but I didn't connect it yet, so there are three cages here, one three storie one, one two story cage, and one one story cage, two hamster outcrops, two hamster running wheels, four small hamster food bowls places in all of the cages, and 5 cute hamster hides, flus five feet of tubes in all haha, thank you Craigslist , it was all like 30 bucks, but everything in good condition.

Re: My new babies
Indeed you are right to want to separate them, they may be a bit confused at first with being away from each other however the older they get they are more likely to fight and mate. How old are they??
I would talk to your mum about separating them, i'm sure she'll see why it is necessary.

Re: My new babies
Separate them NOW. They will have babies if you don't. 2 months is plenty old enough for them to have babies.
Is the cage they are in the one in your sig? If so, I would go and make them each a nice large bin cage (at least 110 quarts big) as those cages are far too tiny. No syrian should ever be squished into Crittertrails.

Re: My new babies
I had a good bin cage before, and my parents didn't like it, so they got me these cages, and there are three cages, all are big, so I don't see a problem

Re: My new babies
Crittertrails aren't suitable cages for syrians at all. The tubing is too small, the wheel provided with them is too small. Everything in that cage is too small and the floor space is woefully inadequate.
They NEED bin cages, or if your parents are willing to spend the cash, large aquariums. 44 gallon aquariums should do the trick. But please, nothing smaller than a 20 gallon long.
