plastic...
i managed to exchange my plastic wheel for a wooden one as pasta was chewing it. id been looking for one before but didnt know p@h did one till today. he seems to prefer thhis one too
is it just me or does the thought of plastic in a hamsters cage irritate you? its not a particular safe material to chew. has anybody had or heard of any bad experiences involving plastic?

Re: plastic...
I have wooden ones for both my hamsters, bear chews on his and Ivan pees and poos on his haha. I prefer all wooden things, but what I don't like is that I've spent a lt of money on all wooden stuff for my hammys and if they die of disease then I'd have to bin them all. It's a lot of money to buy new ones for a new hamster. At least you can steep plastic stuff in a pet safe disinfectant and reuse them.

Re: plastic...
I'd be scared too, buy wooden things from p@h for him to chew on or bits of cardboard bear loves chewing cardboard to use the bits for his bedding.

Re: plastic...
Pasta won't get hurt with the plastic. The plastic might get hurt by pasta though My hammys have never been hurt by chewing the plastic. They chew EVERYTHING they have. If you prefer wood, that's good too, but Pasta will chew the wood also. Love the name Pasta.
