Hello My name is Duck. I have no idea why because I am a hamster, not a duck!
I am a 9week old little boy hamster. I came to live with this new lady today who says she's "your mommy". I don't know what that means ... What is a mommy? Are they nice? Can I eat them?? There is just so much I need to learn about being a hamster! Maybe all you big hamsters can help me? There's this huge round thing called a "wheel" and I like running in there. It is fun! I have a HUGE home to live in and it's a bit scary! Well maybe I will talk to you all later ...

Hello Duck, my name is Fudge and I'm a big girl hammie your mummy is very nice and she will give you lots of love and treats and toys. That's what mummies are for theyy're to look after you and buy you nice things and give you cuddles. You can't eat her though, or she wouldn't be able to look after you
When you've settled into your new home your mummy will probably give you lots of new treats to try, that's the best bit

Treats? Oooh what are they?? I quite like to chew on things. In the pet shop I chewed up a whole "tube" cos it was fun! So mommies take car of us?? Oh ... She tried to put me in this big cage earlier and I bit her ... She had something called "blood" coming out of her "finger" ... I like nice things and cuddles! Have you met my mommy Fudge?

Treats are like normal food but extra nommy, I think you will like them
Chewing is so much fun but don't chew on your cage, mummy's don't like that very much and they say it's naughty. Maybe your mummy will give you another tube to chew
Oh dear, try not to bite your mummy, it hurts them and they don't like it. DId you bite because you were scared? I bet it's very scary going from the pet shop to a big massive cage with a wheel inside.
You'll get plenty of nice things and cuddles from your mummy
I haven't met your mummy but my mummy talks to her on this thing called facebook and on here sometimes too and says she's a very nice mummy and that she will take the best care of you ever.

Yes I was a scared little boy! The mommy thing said bad words when I bit her ... I hope she is a nice mommy. I will try to be a good boy for her and tell her I am sorry! I will give her my "sad eyes" look

Mummy's say bad words when they get bitten xD It's funny. Don't be scared, you're safe now in your nice big home and it will soon be full of toys to play on and in a few weeks when you have snuggles with your mummy, you will wonder what you were scared of.
Your mummy will know you're sorry but if you ever want to come out to play or get treats, the sad eyes look nearly always works

I will try to be a good boy! I have 2 funny bridge things and a yellow cube thing to play with as well as the "wheel" thing. The mommy thing said I was a "good boy" because I chewed on the bridge thing - was that right? I LOVE to climb the cage but the mommy thing tells me to "be careful" incase I hurt myself. I don't know what she means! Do all mommy-things spoil our fun?

That's good as long as you try to be a good boy then that's all that matters
That's right, wooden things in your cage are for chewing on and stops your teeth getting too big and hurting your mouth so make sure you chew lots Your mummy means if you fall from the bars you could hurt your legs or your back or something so be extra careful when climbing, your mummy would be sad if you got hurt. Mummy things do spoil our fun. My mummy won't let me go behind the draws or have an adventure in her room. You'll learn what your mummy lets you do when she lets you out. Don't try and jump off the bed though, they always stop you from doing that

Is a mommy-thing's bed like mine?? Mine is sooooooooo big and cozy

It is a bit like yours but it's even bigger! I don't know why mummy's need such huge beds. It's bigger than your whole cage!
