Introducing Loco!

Hey guys, I got my new male Syrian hamster on Sunday, I called him Loco after the Loco roco game, don't ask why, it just seems fitting for him

Anyway here's a quick picture during him washing

wow - he's stunning. I think he is a long haired mink hamster - mink hamsters are one of my favourite colours (my spud is a mink )

is mink a mixture of cream and grey?

mink is a mix of cream, cinnamon and the umbrous (also called sooty) gene.

You'll find that lovely Loco turns more of an orangey brown as he grows older, becoming a lovely rich autumn colour. One of the things I absolutely love about minks.

My spud is getting jealous - he thinks he is the only mink I am allowed to think is beautiful
