Got my little syrian prince today, this is his thread

So i got two pics for you , I could not resist taking them while he sat in hes little tower xD

First just so you can se the color from the side.. I think he has a lovely color


Second pic is of hes cute little face he is in hes tower, first time he came out of the tube... poor guy i think he is a bit scared


I will be makin his cage alot better than it is right now, but first i want him to settle down ^_^

More pics will also come in the future Hopefully in better quality

Here is a little update on how things are going:

Lucky have been sitting in hes tower for some time now, eating and drinking. Ive touched him without him getting scared, he has sooo soft fur, cant wait to just burrow my nose in it when he trusts me more ^_^
He got a Markie dog buiskit and a piece of dried apple , he seemed to like those

other than that he has just been washing himself and listening very carefully for danger lol he looks so cute with hes ears poking right up xD


He came with the tinyest wheel ive ever seen, so i gave him a new one which is 18 cm in diameter, he is very small so it seems to fit him. But i will get him a new wheel soon, have ordered from petplanet so i hope hes SS arives soon ^_^

One thing i noticed tho, it seems like one of hes testies are like sticking out abit, and he has no fur there, so i guess maybe it is because of hes tiny wheel ? caus when he ran in that at my moms (she could not change it, caus she has no animal equipment) he dragged his manly-bits on the wheel which has these ridges in it.

I will take a closer look and get a photo when i can hold him , dosent seem to be red or irritated or in any way hurtfull for him so I will wait and se a bit.. does not seem like a A&E sort of thing

Have any of you encountered something similar ?

So thats it for today, will let him be for himself until tomorrow and then try to bond a bit with the little syrian prince <3

Yaay! ive held him! he is so sweet, and he let me pick him up when i wanted to after running abit in the sofa. This is what happened: Last night when i was going to bed i wanted to say goodnight to Lucky, then he came to the cage door and when i opened it to let him sniff my hand, he walked right out in it, it was so sweet ^_^ I got a chance to check him when i held him and he seems completely normal, so I guess i just wasent used to a hamsters manly bits anyway, i let him run a bit in the sofa, and scooped him up now and then, he seemed totaly OK with it , no squeeling or trying to get away
so tonight when he is up i will take some photos of him for you

He sounds adorable and it's great that he's so tame! I was lucky with emi as he was similar. Not quite as confident as lucky but he only took a week or so before climbing out to my hand.

Glad you got him a bigger wheel... Hope he fits.

Yeah he is a very confident little fella , I did not expect that at all but i am very happy he is like that. Makes it much more easyer for me to get to know the little guy
When that is said, he can also be a little jumpy, but i think it is because of the new smells and sounds in hes new home

The wheel fits ok, no arching back, but i feel it could be bigger also so Im glad i bough him the biggest SS ^_^

HAHA i just had to take this picture of Lucky xD He looks so cute <3



His favorite place to sleep is in that tube But, the tube has to be replaced, I think it seems abit moist on the inside when he sleeps in it so im guessing the ventilation isnt the best in that tube :/ I have other tubes wich is bigger and have better ventilation for him, just have to wait for him to be all settled, dont want to loose the progress ive had with him so far ^_^
