Re: Is this what they call panda ?
The correct term would be black banded. I've got a black banded boy

Re: Is this what they call panda ?
some people will refer to them as "panda", just like golden hamsters are referred to as "teddy bear" but it's just a nickname people have given to their colouring.

Re: Is this what they call panda ?
Yup, sounds normal to me, he will take a little while to adapt and get used to his new surroundings. Also when they are young their sleep pattern is more disturbed than when they are older.

He's probably just curious about his new home. How old is he?

Re: Is this what they call panda ?
Honestly I dont know his age I got him from Petco.I know I should not have gotten him from a pet store but Ive been looking online for one I could adopt and Ive looked for anyone who breeds hammies but Ive had no luck so I bought him today. All I know is he is for sure a boy(if you know what I mean).I wish I did kinda have an idea of his age from what they claim he is 3 to 5 months but then some other guy walked over and said he was 6 months.None of them know so Im not sure if I'll ever know.

Re: Is this what they call panda ?
You should be able to get an idea of his age by how much he grows. They do most of their growing in the first few months and I think are classed as fully grown from 6 months. He's a gorgeous boy anyway, what's his name?
