Default Wheel reccomendation

I've done it again...... got a new hamster.I have to say I simply couldn't help it.Was in the same petshop where Chelsea came from and decided to see if the rest of her litter had found homes, they had
I then noticed these two massive ( compared to normal petshop hamsters ) girls together and two large boys together.I asked about them and was told they came from a home breeder and there was only that 4 in the litter which is why they were so huge. They were 11 weeks old on the 26th.I couldn't believe they were being housed together, being so large as well. The long and short is that I crumbled and took home the slightly fluffy with sticky out bits here and there home with us.She has been named Beaver,as that is what she reminds me of!!
Anyway, I did pop her on my kitchen scales out of curiosity, she weighs about 180g.She is very laid back, and you can tell she has had more human contact than usual petshop hams. But she seems unaware of how to use a hamster ball!I don't have a wheel big enough at the mo ,so wanted to ask what people would reccomend for a larger hamster.I'm not entirely sure how well she'll take to a wheel on account of her rather lazy nature!! She is so laid back compared to all the others, she just chills, lol. Also, when I got her home I noticed that she had several little scabs on her rump and tummy, so they obviously were squabbling
Anyway, I'm in awe of her, love her to bits already, will post pics soon! Would also be interested in peoples opinions about her weight ie.is she just big or overweight, how do you tell?

By the way ,if anyone is concerned about my obsessive hamster collecting habit, please don't be, she truly is the last.........really,she is

Well, I was only going to have 1 hamster.....
I use wodent wheels for my syrians. The only drawback is you have to mail order them or Holly on the forum orders them for us but I think she has just sent an order off.
Before I had the wodent wheels I used the Savic Rolys but they are a bit noisy and mine broke quite easily.
180g is not too heavy for a syrian female, they often weigh over 200g.

Can't wait to see photos.

I would recommend the Wodent Wheel, also - it certainly has the blessings of my 4 Syrians

You can order them via Holly, on this forum - or Equine Canine Feline have them for slightly more, at £8.99.

I was going to post about wheels too!

Alvin needs a bigger one as his new cage came with a 6.5".

So..is it Wodent Wheels all the way for Syrians then?

Have a look for a Regular Silent Spinner, they are a lot quieter and larger than the regular rolly.

i also like the wodent wheel and the comfort wheel, but with the comforts, a lot of them are badly made and don't turn properly so don't ever buy one off a website where you can't test how it spins!

for some reason, my females prefer comfort and males the wodent
