Default I got a new camera... now who would help me test it? (Pics!)

Well, when you get a new camera, the first thing you want to do is get some pictures taken; to try it out!

But, what to snap?

Thankfully, I had some volunteers!

In fact, Harry couldn't wait to get out, and into picture:

A quick preen and he was ready for some beauty shots:

And didn't he just look beautiful?

Hobbs wasn't far behind:

All this modelling is hungry work!

Bob wasn't to be outdone, however:

And she only tried to escape the once!

A bit pic heavy, but I couldn't resist

Hobbs is a satin Gus. You need to change your entry to SH satin class not cream.
Harry is I think a cinnamon banded, long hair carrier but I don't think rex as the whiskers are not curly.
Great pics. You must be pleased with the new camera

I am, very pleased, after a night of faffing with the settings! I now know how my gran felt when she got her first video recorder

However, it's now all working - it's paying dividends in terms of showing the hamsters how my eyes see them! So, we'll got Hobbs swapped over - thanks for the spot! I know how you felt Catja, in trying to describe Desi's colour...

Harry's not Rex, no - I did check when you suggested it; he's just got that crazy mane on the back of his head, like a mini lion!

A quick brush and he looks great!

Bob and Hobbs will be at Topcliffe, for those wanting a cuddle

Great photography, but then you had some gorgeous models!
You really do have some pretty hams Gus. Cuddling may be a bit difficult if they are going in the main classes - once the hamsters are benched in their show pens no-one is allowed to touch the pens until judging is over (apart from the judge and pen steward of course). And it is a bit of a no-no to identify which are your hamsters, to ensure impartiality on the part of the judges etc. But we tend to get around that by doing lots of surreptitious finger pointing and whispering of pen numbers!

I'm sure we will be able to spot them!

Well, it was always going to be hard - after all, we are rather partial to our pictures on this forum! A bit of a give-away!

Awwww... thanks for all the great comments! I think they're fantastic, and love them to bits
