Re: ♥ Pluto's Thread! ♥
Thanks! Tho I wish I didn't have to upgrade it (I wish he got something this big from the beginning). Now on to getting my sister's bunny a bigger cage and a pen. :/

I'd say Hazel Hamster is better for a Syrian, but both are excellent. I mix both for my dwarfies and add extras from Whole Foods. My robos also get some Kaytee Fiesta Max as a bit of a junk food treat since they are so active.
Love your bin!

Okay I think I'll feed him a mix of the two (and give him meal worms?). :)

Mealworms are good 1-2 a day. You can try this mix:

Re: ♥ Pluto's Thread! ♥
Some hams don't like freeze-dried stuff and only choose to eat live insects. Some of mine I trained to like freeze-dried, but my robos are pretty lukewarm to them and go crazy for live mealworms. I'd keep adding one-two mealworms to your ham's food dish and see if over time they will be eaten (if there's no immediate excitement).

Re: ♥ Pluto's Thread! ♥
What about the grasshoppers and crickets? Or should I buy a mealworm only thing? So many questions! >v<;

Re: ♥ Pluto's Thread! ♥
I'd try the mix--that way you can see what your ham likes and doesn't like. My friend is brave enough to feed live crickets, but I limit myself to live mealworms. The rest I serve freeze-dried!
These are also good, and all of my hams eat them without any fuss:
