Default Update on Aero - the Mink/Dove!

Aero has been with us for almost 2 weeks now and she seems very settled and is growing madly! By my reckoning she should be just under or just over 8 weeks old.

I'm taking her to Highworth on Saturday to try and ascertain her colour for sure - in the meantine here are a couple of daylight pictures taken just now as she was awake and pottering about. I'm not sure they show how much she's grown but she definitely has!

I think she looks like a teddy bear on this one:

She is a beauty Julie, and I have to say I would say more dove than mink in those pictures. I also agree and think she looks exactly like a little teddy bear. Is she still friendly and eager to come out to play?
I'm sure she's all the more pretty in person!

Holly, she is absolutely adorable - I love the 'smokey' quality to her fur!

When you discover what the official designation is, let me know... I want!

Am hopeless with colours... .... I confess I didn't realise there were so many different varieties of hamster at all so I'm really no help with that one, but she is very beautiful.

I can see why you fell for her, I've never seen a hamster that colour before. But maybe I should just educate myself a little more.....

i'd say she looks closer to dove, too.

Cooo cooooo - did she answer? No? she can't be a dove then! lol
I think she looks more dove than mink tbh. The only microbe sized bit of doubt I have is on one of the photos there seems to be a little cream/brown tone coming through on her nose and arm. Unless that's the light of course.

Still no eye rings though...hmmm - no I put my money where my mouth is and say dove - look at Chip at 7 weeks you can certainly see the mink changing and the orange brown coming through.

Thanks guys, she is a sweetie and it's nice you all think so as well!

Teresa if that's Chip at 7 weeks then I'm a bit more convinced she a Dove - Aero doesn't have anything like that beige tone to her coat. I can see the picture you mean but she's not really beige to look at for real - she's probably a little darker than some of the pictures (flash) but it's a deeper grey rather than a beige/brown/orange.

Oh dear here I again ...I'll know soon enough anyway :P

Tabasco??????????????? Hmmm seems I need to look at the rest of the forum :P

Chip was definitely just over 7 weeks old, as that photo was taken the day she came home from her eye op! i think there is a definite difference too!

Her ears seem more of a grey than vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (soory Princess on keyboard!) Chip's flesh/grey ears.

I think she is a dove - a pretty Charlieeee girl!
