Well past Syrian hamsters have been: Fudge (1 & 2!) Marble (a grey and white) Rusty (ginger/rust colour) Smartie (love them!) Dwarfs:Toffee and Peanut (as in Revels) and 2 of their 6 pups I kept temporarily were Dusty and Smokey Joe (both because of colourings) The three Robo brothers who didn't last very long were Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub (Camberwick Green characters) though Grub died in the first 24hrs and was rechristened Pip. The last syrian I lost was a rescue I renamed Izzy from Grey's Anatomy as that character was one of my favourites. At present I have a long haired syrian named Fred, a short haired syrian named Hugo and a chinese called Mouse!!
Most of the time I spend ages thinking about names, trawling the internet or thinking of themes or topics etc, it takes forever to find the right name but I know it when I hear it! Same with the 14 budgies names!
Oh and just to say, I have had dwarf, robo and chinese and not one of them has 'not been nice' I recommend them all!!

We had to change our hamster's name.

The pet store said it was a he and we named him Simmons.

He had babies last week. He turned into a Simone that night.

But we have decided to go with Sheila so that she still has a red vs blue name.

Babies that survive will also be named from the series.

Past Syrians - James, Turbo, Humbug, Oscar, Badger, Ruby

Current Syrian - Yummy

We saw a large male syrian sable today in the pet shop, weighs up to 500 grams. My partner called him Hodor, but we really don't have the money or space to have him; but he really wants to have him xD

Previous Hamsters have been:
Tamika - female (very sweet)
Sammy - male (grumpy little man)
Chaos - female (again as sweet as pie)
Pepper - female (very scared, skittish - bordering on mental lol)
Lily - (skittish, but not as bad as Pepper)

The one I have now is called
Cookie (who I have only had for just over a week - but is becoming very sweet and fun to watch lol).

Mweekie xx

Charlie (hybrid Russian dwarf)

My sister's Syrian was Nibbles.

Nibbles and Bubbles babies - Syrians, Chip, Christmas and Moley. I can't remember the other 7 as it was about 30 years ago.
