Being in the USA, I can't help much....even though I probably couldn't help much if you were here either as I personally have never even heard of a hamster rescue in the states, and usually people seem to get unlucky and be far away from good breeders, boo. :[

I actually looked around for animal rescue / shelters on-line last night out of curiosity. There I found a couple in my area in Massachusetts, so I know they exist. Not many hamsters there compared to guinnea pigs and other animals =/ petfinder.com is pretty good at giving a wider selection across the country too.
